Gilgel Gibe Hydropower, Ethiopia
The Gilgel Gibe Hydroelectric power project was kickstarted by the EEPCo in 2006. This hydropower plant was built on River Omo, located in the Southern region of Ethiopia. Minex was subcontracted by the joint venture, Alpine-Mayreder-Berta Construction, to build access tunnels.
The construction of 650-meter access tunnels to the powerhouse at Gilgel Gibe Hydroelectric Project.
