Minex’s ambition to break the usual way of building and other works of engineering in Kenya came to be and Minex has come out strongly to conquer unchartered techniques and was able to carry out projects in highly specialized fields in tunneling, complex environments in exploration and energy underground works.

The purpose of the company was to carry out projects in construction work in the highly specialized field of alternate environments; underground works which included;

  • - tunneling
  • - cavern excavation for Powerhouses
  • - fuel tanks and stores.

The company gained early reputation by 1994, increasing its capabilities in works that mainly included shaft sinking, Microtunneling, drilling, blasting, excavating and shot-crete as well as piling.
